If you think coffee culture is cool, you have come to the right place. I have loads of information and opinions to share about espresso in the Pacific Northwest, especially the drive-through phenomenon.

Back from the printer!

This was a big day for me. The shortrun books arrived from the printer and they are nicer looking than I had expected. I will be happy to show these to reviewers and sellers. I had 24 copies printed by Applied Digital Imaging in Bellingham. Even though the intent of this production was not to match final offset printing, the results are very good.

I recommend this step to other self-publishers because it not only feels so good to finally have copies printed and in your hand, it is a great chance to see flaws or areas where you may want to change things before paying for thousands of copies to be printed. No matter how carefully you look at your layouts and proofs, getting the real book in your hand is always going to give you a new perspective.

Not only that, but you will be sure to show it to more people and undoubtedly they will have suggestions or ideas that you may not have thought of, and you will have a chance to incorporate those ideas if you like them. One idea a friend of mine had, in fact, was including a map or list of cities so people can quickly see if there are drive-throughs in the book that are located where they live.
